It is a guarantee or deposit you leave when you pick up the vehicle. It backs the rental while you have the vehicle and is returned to you when the contract ends.

What do I need to rent a vehicle?
Venezuelan residents: a laminated, valid national ID card (cédula), a valid medical certificate and a valid driving licence, be over 21 and leave the preventive hold. Foreign visitors: a passport from your country of residence, a driving licence, be over 21 and leave the preventive hold.
It is a guarantee or deposit you leave when you pick up the vehicle. It backs the rental while you have the vehicle and is returned to you when the contract ends. It is 400 USD for sedans and 800 USD for SUVs. It is accepted only in US dollar cash or via Zelle.
We accept bolívars by bank transfer or pago móvil, US dollar cash and Zelle. Bolívars apply only to the rental payment; the preventive hold is accepted only in US dollar cash or via Zelle.
Where can I drive a rental vehicle in Zulia?
For now, vehicles may only be driven within Maracaibo and the Eastern Shore of Lake Maracaibo (Costa Oriental del Lago).
Daily rates: Mitsubishi Lancer, 75 USD; Chevrolet Cruze, 85 USD; Ford Explorer, 120 USD; and JAC JS8 Savanna 2026, 150 USD. The total depends on the number of rental days. The preventive hold is separate and is returned to you when the contract ends.
Which vehicles can I rent, and are they automatic?
Four vehicles, all automatic: the Mitsubishi Lancer and Chevrolet Cruze sedans (5 people and 2 bags), the Ford Explorer SUV (7 people and 4 bags) and the JAC JS8 Savanna 2026 SUV (5 people and 3 bags).
Do I need to create an account?
No. You can choose a vehicle and complete your request directly on the website. Dashboard access is reserved for the Ciudad Cars administration team.
When is my rental confirmed?
Submitting a request does not confirm the rental. Our team checks availability and arranges payment with you on WhatsApp. The booking is confirmed when the administration approves the order; a pending request does not guarantee a vehicle.
Where do I pick up and return the vehicle?
Our office is on Calle 70 between Av. 4 Bella Vista and Av. 8 Santa Rita, Maracaibo, Zulia State. We are open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 noon; closed on Sundays. Arrange your pickup and return times on WhatsApp before confirming.

What is the minimum age to rent a vehicle?
